Can nappies go in general waste?
No, Commercially generated nappy waste would be classed as "Offensive Waste" under the Irish Waste Legislation, therefore: businesses cannot dispose of nappy waste in general domestic or public bins. It will need to be taken to an approved waste facility for appropriate treatment, or disposal method.
Offensive Waste can only be transported by Operators who have a valid waste collection permit with the appropriate waste ode/classification on the permit.
