What is an air purifier and does it actually work?

Germs and pathogens spread in three different ways: person to person, surface to person and air to person. When a person sneezes or coughs, airborne respiratory droplets are produced and travel independently or attach to dust particles in air currents. These droplets can be inhaled and cause infections in other people. Air purifiers are designed to filter these airborne particles and respiratory droplets to reduce the level of contamination in the air in your home or business.

Why use an air purifier?

In 2021, the EPA has estimated that about 90% of our lives are spent indoors yet indoor air quality is often two to five times more polluted than outdoor air*. Are air purifiers effective against COVID-19?
